Targeted e-mail address search with keywords
ePochta Extractor will help you compile a database of your customers, if you do not have a list of the main sites to search for. Simply enter the keyword, and the program will start looking for relevant websites, and collect email addresses from them.

Searching for addresses on these sites
If you already have a website and want to extract addresses from it, enter its address and the program will collect all available email addresses from it.

Search the site for keywords
Create a targeted search with ePochta Extractor. Enter the website address and the keyword that will be searched. The program will find the pages of the specified website that have this keyword. E-mail addresses will be extracted from these pages.

Search in the list
If you have a number of sites from which you want to extract email addresses, create a list of sites. There is no need to wait for the end of one process to begin to start another. They will work one after another. In the end, you will get a list of extracted addresses from all the sites listed.

The basic version of ePochta Extractor has three built-in search plug-ins:
• By person name
• Inside Conferencing UseNet
• By categories DMOZ directory

If necessary, you can activate additional plug-ins. Also ePochta Extractor supports plug-ins Mailbox, Twitter and Facebook. The latter is especially interesting in that it allows you to first find people according to the established search criteria, outline the so-called target audience, and only after extract the data of each person found. Facebook plug-in collects email addresses and names, present and past place of work, company website and much more.

Setting up search engines
Of the 42 available search engines, 5 are set to search by default. You can change the settings and select the required search engine in the "Settings - Configure search engines".

High speed
The program runs in multithreaded mode. It can open several pages at the same time. For the program's opal work, select the type of search:
• "Accelerated search" - retrieves fewer addresses, but works faster.
• "Detailed search" - retrieves more addresses, but works slower.
The speed of the search process can be increased by setting the number of threads, timeouts, and repeated attempts to access the site.

The proxy server
ePochta Extractor uses the default Internet Explorer settings and automatically selects the most suitable proxy server.
We recommend that you manually specify a proxy server. To do this, you need to enter the proxy address and port number, login and password.
A proxy server is extremely useful when any site blocks an IP address because of a limited number of access attempts. It also makes the IP address invisible, which allows the user to visit sites anonymously.

Filtering e-mail addresses You can
filter addresses by the following criteria.
• by domain name
• by the length of the URL of the site
• by email address
• by priority links
Filtering by domain name can limit search by domain (URL must contain ...) or ignoring domains (URL should not contain ...).
Filter by email address. In the "Settings / General Settings / Filtering" section, you can specify what should or should not they contain.
ePochta Extractor also allows you to limit the extraction of addresses by the length of the link and the total number of e-mail addresses retrieved from one site.

Limiting the search
Before you begin the search process, you have the ability to set restrictions:
• All links
• Only on the current site
• Only in the current directory
• Only the current page
These parameters will be taken into account when searching. For example, a program can collect addresses only on the current page or site.

Processing javascript
ePochta Extractor can extract email addresses that are in javascript. Due to the fact that the program can work with HTML code and extract addresses from it, it is possible to optimize the work by setting the "JavaScript handling" function.

The user must first activate this function, since it is not configured by default. After it is turned on, the program will search and collect addresses that are hidden using javascript. In this case, you will receive more email addresses, but the extraction process will be slower.

Ignore the domain
If you need to speed up the extraction process, you can set the "ignore domain" function. Thus, you will save time and significantly speed up the program. There are some rules for ignoring domains. If after processing the set number of pages belonging to this domain, no contacts are found, then the domain is skipped. Thus, the search process is optimized, skipping hopeless sources of addresses.

Timeout between requests
Some servers allow only a certain number of requests. With ePochta Extractor, it is possible to bypass this number by setting a timeout (time delay) between requests.

If the server began to reject requests of your program, we recommend that you activate the "Timeout between requests", because it is not enabled by default.

Extended log
During the search process, an extended log is available to you. You can view the links of pages that have already been processed, the time spent searching for addresses, the number of e-mail addresses retrieved and the status of the page. You can save all results from the extended log to the clipboard or to a file.

Exporting data from
ePochta Extractor can save the results in:
• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft Excel
• Products of the ePochta family
• Clipboard
